Laura Fisayo-Kolawole

Laura is an Assistant Director at FBNQuest Asset Management, where she heads the Equities and Alternatives Solutions Desk, with over 15 years experience in the industry. Before she joined FBNQuest, she worked with Barclays Bank, UK. At Barclays, she worked within the Global Research and Investments (GR&I) division of Barclays Wealth and Investment Management, where she was part of the team responsible for managing the UK equity portfolio for the Investment Management client funds. Additionally, she contributed to executing global multi asset portfolios, which totalled almost $1.5 billion in assets under management. Laura also worked as a Research Analyst within the Asian Equities team based in Singapore. During which time she covered Asian stocks and formulated the Asian equity strategy for the business. Laura has strong investment management skills borne out of her time as both a Portfolio Manager and equity research analyst.
She is passionate about volunteering and fostering a well-rounded investment management industry and is currently the Executive Secretary of the Fund Managers’ Association of Nigeria (FMAN), working closely with the SEC to safely democratise access to investments for Nigerians. She previously served on the FMAN Technical and Enlightenment Committee and is an active member of the CFA Society, serving within the Programming Committee.
Laura holds a degree in Economics and Politics from the University of Southampton, UK. She is a Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) Charter holder and a member of the CFA Nigeria Society. She holds the CFA Institute’s Certificate in Investment Management (formerly known as the Investment Management Certificate). Laura also holds the Financing and Investing in
Infrastructure certificate from Universita Commerciale Luigi Bocconi. Laura is multilingual, fluent in both French and English.
